Le Bistrot Clandestin

The clink of wine glasses, the happy rumble of laughter around the table, generous, hearty and deliciously vibrant food with soul: welcome to Le Bistrot Clandestin.

This pop-up restaurant invites you into my home to meet and mingle with like-minded food adventurers. Le bistrot clandestin is inspired by the wonderful simplicity of the off-the-beaten-track bistrots, bouchons and cafes of rural France

These are the places that prioritise flavour above all else and this is the experience I want to share with you

I am not about the fine dining experience, you can forget the crisply folded napkins, tiny portions and hushed tones – this is real food made to be enjoyed with gusto.

Come with an open mind and a primed appetite, share a meal and some stories with your fellow dinner guests, and leave with a full stomach and a happy heart.

Within that setting I run three types of events: 

  • Flavours of Reunion Island ( introduction to the food of the island where I was born)
  • A French soirée (my take on French classics)
  • Let them eat cake (my take on the quintessential afternoon tea, with a touch of tropical flair)
